CarUtil is a Command Line Interface to convert pre-existing American Truck simulator car mods into actual cars for the Road Trip DLC.

Funny enough, cars used to be car shaped trucks in ATS modding.

SCS Software recently released the Road trip DLC, introducing actual cars and car jobs into the game.

What this utility does essentially is converting truck cars into car cars, if that makes any sense.

I have found a way to convert RPMs, weight, horsepower and axis balance of a truck in actually realistic cars with realistic performance.

the tool only prompts the user for car brand (for the dealer), weight, peak torque rpm and rapidly converts the scs file, producing a new one with a "rt_" prefix.

I have had very positive feedback from the ATS modding community, the repository has more than 500 individual clones.

Anyways, the tool is confirmed to be cross compatible, working on linux, macos and windows, and easily installs with a script which does all the work for you, facilitating the process as much as possible.
